About Us

Fire Logistics is a local, family owned and operated company founded by Scott and Ashley Carter in 2000. Since then, we have been helping individuals and families move their household belongings both locally and long distances. We have just as many years of experience performing installations of furniture to Universities, Colleges, Group Homes and Mental Health facilities. We started out as a part-time business while Scott was still a full time firefighter with the City of Durham Fire Department. He has since retired and we are 100% dedicated to our moving business. We are small enough in size that we can offer attentive customer service but experienced enough to handle any size job.
For most people moving is only the tip of the iceberg. In addition to moving, we know that you are dealing with closings, tenants, new owners, old owners, address changes….etc. We know that you have a lot on your plate. It’s our job not only to safely and efficiently move you, but to take some of that pressure off allowing you to deal with everything else involved with your move.
At Fire Logistics we do not work from volume. We do not try to schedule 4 and 5 jobs each day. If we have a move job scheduled, our focus is only on that move. Our crew will be fresh and ready to work, taking care to pack, load, and unload your belong as safely and efficiently as possible.
