Reformation of the Human Form, Juniper Keever & Raven Mowles-Aring
The senior show for two Cedar Ridge High School International Baccalaureate art students, Juniper Keever and Raven Mowles-Aring.
From Juniper:
My art uses the theme of distortion to elucidate experiences of discomfort. Each work is a refraction of an aspect of reality which is intended to mirror the ways in which we experience our lives and how they are warped by external and internal forces. The works are meant to invite the viewer to relate to some distorted human forms and see themselves in reimagined unrealities as they give their own interpretation of the human condition represented in the artworks.
From Raven:
My intention is to create visually appealing works of art that capture the complex spectrum of human emotion. I use color to create the mood, pattern to denote ideas, hands and gestures to capture human expression.
