Opening Reception: Jim Adams at Melissa Designer Jewelry

Melissa Designer Jewelry is pleased to host artist Jim Adams. Opening reception for his new forged jewelry is Friday May 26th from 6 pm – 8:30 pm. Show ends June 24, 2017. “Informed by natural forms my work is born from lines, forms and textures discovered in my walks. My goal is to create an abstracted suggestion of nature. Forging steel into jewelry makes way for the illusion of movement and delicacy that contradicts typical notions of blacksmithing and metal sculpture.” Jim Adams is a studio artist based in Hillsborough, NC. His work includes commissioned and exhibited sculpture, furniture, jewelry and architectural elements in metal, stone, wood, glass and upcycled materials.
