This is one of the great Italian neorealist films, and in fact one of the great films of all time. Set in post-war Italy, the film was directed by Vittorio DeSica, and starred non-actors recruited by DeSica. If you like the movies and you haven't seen this one, you should see it. Short talk beforehand by Laura Boyes, NC Museum of Art Film Curator; discussion afterwards. Free, and free popcorn. Come early to be sure to get a seat, and register for our mailing list at www.hillsboroughclassicfilms.com.
