For the sixth year in a row, UNC Health is participating in Movember – a global fundraising campaign committed to changing the face of men’s health. The Movember Foundation challenges men to grow moustaches during Movember (formerly known as November), to spark conversation and raise vital funds for men’s health programs that focus on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, poor mental health and physical inactivity. The challenge is simple: guys take action by signing up, shaving down their face on Movember 1, and growing a moustache for the month. They grow and groom their new Mo (slang for moustache), asking friends and family to donate on behalf of their efforts. MoSistas can get the word out by raising funds and awareness for the men in their lives! Movember starts Nov. 1. To participate you can: • Shave your face and start to grow! • Start your own team at https://us.movember.com/ • Don’t forget to link your team to the University of North Carolina Network! • Set your personal goal and challenge your friends and family members to join you! Our network goal for this year $50,000 and we need your help!
