Join the Orange County Historical Museum for a celebration of Orange County history at this family event featuring delicious food and drink from Hillsborough BBQ Company, Mystery Brewing Company and Bona Fide Sandwich Company!
Enjoy an open-mic history storytelling hour at 5 pm with N.C. Rep. Graig Meyer; Jonathan Ray, co-owner of Cates Corner Farm; Janie Morris, a long time mill village resident; and a host of community members, including an Orange County descendant of Sallie Ray Harris (19th century Orange County farmer, trader, and freed woman of color).
Try your luck in our raffle for fabulous prizes and experience the excitement of a mini live auction at 6 pm! An amazing epicurean event for 10 with award-winning chef Eric Gephart at Durham hotspot Kamado Grille, and a gorgeous painting of historic Churton Street by local artist Linda Carmel are among the prizes for auction.
Admission is free! 20% of food and drink sales ($10 BBQ plate or vegetarian plate, heritage beverages: $5 beer, $2.50 non-alcoholic cider) and all proceeds from the raffle ($2 raffle tickets!) and auction will go directly to the museum.
Your kind support enables us to bring history alive by presenting more events and exhibits, acquiring and protecting more historical artifacts, and providing more heritage education opportunities to school children throughout Orange County. Thank you!
