This climate friendly class is a beginning junk journal or folio workshop.
It guides the participant to create unique, memory-keeping books from recycled materials like old books, paper scraps, and found objects; the approach focuses on collage, mixed media, and simple bookbinding to foster creative expression with no strict rules.
Attendees will learn to repurpose old books, make new book covers, assemble the journal and decorate the pages with pockets, tuck spots, and ephemera, transforming everyday "junk" into a personalized, textured journal or folio.
Participants will also leave with the tools to continue the art form and stay organized.
