The Hillsborough Classic Film Society presents the 1950 Japanese film Rashomon, described by the Criterion Collection as one of the great films of all time. According to Roger Ebert, it struck the world of film "like a thunderbolt. No one had ever seen anything like it." It won the Oscar for foreign films that year, and the Golden Lion at Venice. Free to the public, and the popcorn and Japanese candy is free as well.
