CCWIB Subaru Loves Luncheon Series - Presented by Hendrick Subaru of Southpoint

CCWIB returns with a fabulous luncheon series, sponsored by Hendrick Subaru of Southpoint!

Join us July 15th for "Down on the (Hemp) Farm" fun. Plan to dress casually and be prepared for July HOT sunshine while we tour the farm and focus our attention on this month's theme, Subaru Loves The Earth. With keynote speaker, Jessica Sheffield of Eno River Association. 

After earning her masters degree in environmental education and natural resource management in her home state of Pennsylvania, Ms. Jessica Sheffield moved to Durham in the spring of 2000. Here, she has earned a nonprofit management certificate at Duke, served as the Executive Director of Schoolhouse of Wonder, and joined the Eno team as Executive Director in the fall of 2019.

 A small teaser of what to be discussed: A certified land trust operating in Orange and Durham Counties, the Eno River Association has been preserving land in the Eno watershed since 1966. Ms. Sheffield will speak to the Eno’s mission, their future land preservation goals, ongoing education and outreach programs, volunteer opportunities, and reviving the Eno Journal.

We will be outdoors, we will enjoy the large party tent for most of the event, but let's be comfortable! Shorts and shoes that you won't mind wearing into the field are encouraged! Don't forget the sunscreen and bug spray!
