Bearing Witness: An Evening of Poetry

The Orange County Public Library will host Bearing Witness: An Evening of Poetry on Thursday, February 23, from 6:00 - 7:45pm.

Four passionate poets will read: Dr. William Blackley on his experiences in the military during the Vietnam War and the after-effects for himself and other soldiers who struggle with PTSD; L. Teresa Church on the joy, heartbreak, and strength of being an African-American woman in the US; Maura High, who says she doesn't write poetry, yet whose poems make clear "nature is not separate from humans;" and Earl Huband on his experiences as a Peace Corps volunteer learning to navigate the complexities of living in another culture.
