Author Call for 2019 Candlelight Tour

The Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce announces an Open Author Call for local authors to read their original works during the 2019 Candlelight Tour's "Books and Art by Candlelight". Applications are due September 3, 2019, by 5 pm.

A self-guided tour, the Chamber's Candlelight Tour allows guests to explore Hillsborough's many historic treasures, celebrate the literary arts, and visit local merchants. Along the tour, visitors can hear readings from well and lesser-known authors, all who live in Orange County.   

Selected authors read from their work at designated sites (private homes, public historic sites, and the Orange County Public Library) during the candlelight tour, and may have opportunities to read at additional events throughout the year.  Selected authors will be recognized at the Local Author Book Fair, the Candlelight Tour VIP party, the Candlelight Tour, and receive media coverage related to the tour itself.
