An Afternoon of Burlesque Art

The Bottom Line Burlesque & Comedy Troupe is excited to continue our live-model drawing event series: "An Afternoon of Burlesque Art" in Historic Downtown Hillsborough.

Join Troupe members at Yonder Bar on Saturday, March 14th, for an afternoon of Burlesque-themed art models. Artists provide their own supplies.

This event is open to everyone who is interested in Live Model Figure Drawing. All skill levels are invited to come relax with us, and enjoy an afternoon with a variety of models in "Hillsborough's Living Room".  Doors open at 1pm, and the first pose is scheduled for 1:15.  The event will wrap by 3pm.

Yonder offers a very cozy, comfortable space. The Bottom Line Burlesque & Comedy Troupe will provide the model(s) as well as the time moderator. We will watch the clock, so you can keep your focus on your drawing. This is not a teaching class, but an opportunity for you to use and expand your skills and talents in a very welcoming atmosphere.

The afternoon session will be timed in the following segments:
2 minute warm-up pose/draw
5 minute warm-up pose/draw
5 minute warm-up pose/draw
10 minute pose/draw
10 minute pose/draw
10 minute pose/draw
Finishing the event with a 20 minute pose/draw.

Please, bring your own supplies, in your preferred medium and set up at any of the numerous seating areas, or bring your own easel.

Doors open for this event at 1pm, with the first pose by 1:15. several small breaks will be scheduled, and a longer break will be offered before the final twenty minute segment.

Pre-registration is required. Tickets are only $10. Space is limited.  Please note, this is not a *total-nude* model event, but models will be dressed anywhere from minimal coverage to embellished costuming.
