My Diary of Online Dating, with author Adrainne R. Thompson

Join author and entrepreneur Adrainne Renee Thompson as she reads her poetry, discusses the social epidemic of online dating, and recounts some of her more interesting encounters. Virtually hosted by the Orange County Historical Museum, on Thursday, November 18, at 7pm.

Thompson has won several poetry contests; spoken at Read-ins at the Orange and Alamance County Public Libraries, and written poems for special occasions. One of her most honorable achievement was becoming the first African-American whose poetry pieces were displayed at the Suntrust Gallery in the Captain White House in Graham, NC. She holds workshops on,: bridging language barriers, coaching/training in organizational skills; self-sufficiency; and public speaking.

Her book, My Diary of Online Dating is currently on sale at the Orange County Historical Museum. This program is part of the Orange County Historical Museum’s current special exhibit “Date Night: Orange County Fashion, Food, Music & Fun”, on display at the Museum until the end of December. This exhibit funded in part by PHE, Inc., and the Hillsborough/Orange County Chamber of Commerce.
